Geek Vs. Nerd

Many people ponder this question in their minds: What's the difference between a geek and a nerd? Thanks to my handy book:

I have finally found the answer!

A geek seems to be any smart person with an obsessive interest. Everybody sees geeks wrong. They're not just people obsessed with Star Trek. There are also comic book geeks, reality TV geeks, World War II geeks, motorcycle geeks, organic food geeks, political geeks, and even sports geeks. In fact most of us ARE geeks.

A nerd is any smart person with an obsessive interest, but also a lack of social grace(Yes this means that geeks can have social grace) They are not wimpy. In fact they are courageous because they don't give in to what other people tell them to be.

Geeks can blend in, nerds stand out, but neither crave acceptance. Geekdom is a lifestyle choice and nerddom is quite possibly genetic. Geeks talk to non-geeks but nerds tend to hang out with their own kind.
